Combining the benefits of modern manufacturing methods with new materials greatly expands the possibilities for the development of components. Accordingly, in cooperation with Airbus, APWORKS has developed Scalmalloy®, a high-performance aluminium powder.
This aluminium alloy is corrosion-resistant and combines the low weight of aluminium with almost the specific strength of titanium. In comparison, the AlSi10Mg aluminium-silicon powder widely used for additive manufacturing is only half as strong.

Stainless steel 1.4404
This steel combines high ductility and corrosion resistance.
This widely used light titanium alloy has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance combined with biocompatibility and low specific weight. Its unique properties make it ideal for many high-performance engineering applications.

Stainless steel 1.4540
This stainless steel is tough and resistant to heat and oxidation. When hardened, it is corrosion-resistant and has excellent mechanical properties. It is highly suitable for metallic individual parts, small production runs, individualized products and replacement parts.

This stainless steel offers high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties, with outstanding ductility for laser processing. It is highly suitable for metallic individual parts, small production runs, individualized products and replacement parts.
Maraging steel 1.2709
This steel combines excellent strength with high toughness.
AlSi10Mg is a popular alloy with high corrosion resistance and lower density than other alloys. It is typically used for parts with thin walls and complex geometries due to its good casting and welding properties, and good static and dynamic resistance.
